Subaru Establishes New Nürburgring Lap Record

Understandably, Subaru of America Inc. was proud to announce that the Subaru WRX STI Type RA NBR Special had recently set a new four door sedan lap record at the world famous Nürburgring Norsschleife race track in Germany. Shining a bright spotlight on the capabilities of the Subaru sedan and its all-wheel drive, the vehicle ran the 12.8-mile lap in 6:57.5 -- a time measured by track timing equipment and verified by Nürburgring track officials.

Subaru equipped the custom sedan with a rally spec 2.0-liter Boxer engine and Subaru symmetrical all-wheel drive, helping the WRX STI Type RA NBR Special establish lap records at Nürburgring Norsschleife, the Isle of Man TT and The Goodwill Festival of Speed hill climb.

Dominick Infante, Subaru Product Communications manager, stated in a press release, "We brought the WRX STI Type RA NBR Special here to set a record and call attention to the WRX STI Type RA that we will launch later this year. The WRX STI Type RA promises a great deal, with improved performance and styling and even better handling dynamics than the current car."

At Baierl Subaru, we're ready to get our hands on the steering wheel of a new WRX STI Type RA. Our showroom at 9545 Perry highway in Pittsburgh proudly serves Subaru drivers from the Pittsburgh, Butler, Monroeville and Moon Township areas.
