What's New?
This year, Subaru is updating the Limited model again. This trim now offers a standard sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a driver-attention monitoring system. Outside of that, however, the Legacy remains completely unchanged.

Performance
Powering the Subaru Legacy are two powertrain options. The base engine, which is offered in the Base,
Premium, and Limited, is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 182 horsepower and 176 lb.-ft of torque. Though the Sport and Touring XT runs on a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that outputs 260 hp and 277 lb.-ft of torque.
Both engines are paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive. As for its fuel economy, Gibsonia shoppers will find the model quite efficient as the EPA estimates the base engine to get around 27/35 mpg, while the turbocharged engine offers an estimated 24/32 mpg.
Design
From the outside, the Subaru Legacy looks like every other midsize sedan on the road. But the interior isn't so common. For instance, legroom in the Legacy is quite generous, with the front having 42.8 inches of space and the rear offering 39.5 inches. There's even a manual thigh extension for the driver's seat should more legroom be needed.
Allison Park and Glenshaw customers will also appreciate the comfort of the Legacy seat, while standard with cloth upholstery can be upgraded to leather seating in the Limited and Touring models. Subaru has also set aside plenty of space in the truck as there's around 15.1 cubic feet of space to hold about eight carry-on suitcases.
Technology
Subaru Legacy sedans help you and your passengers feel at ease thanks to standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology that offers helpful active safety features for drives near Gibsonia and beyond. Standard features include LED Steering Responsive Headlights (SRH), High Beam Assist (HBA), Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, and Pre-Collision Braking. As a bonus, the available DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System can remember seating and mirror positions for up to five drivers and provide an audible alert when the signs of distracted or drowsy driving are detected.
Safety
No Subaru model is complete without its suite of advanced driver aids, and inside the Legacy is Subaru's safety system called EyeSight. With EyeSight, drivers receive automated emergency braking, lane-departure warnings with lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering. Higher trims offer feature:
