Expected to arrive in late 2026, the all-new 2027 Subaru Getaway is the automaker's first all-electric three-row SUV, combining impressive performance and renowned all-weather capability with family-friendly comfort and practicality.

With seating for up to seven, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and an available driving range of more than 300 miles, the Subaru Getaway is ideal for shoppers seeking a signature Subaru EV experience with extra space and additional seating to accommodate their larger families.

Performance and Capability

The 2027 Subaru Getaway is the most powerful production Subaru ever built. Every available long-range model features dual electric motors that produce a combined 420 horsepower, allowing the SUV to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds. It also provides confidence in changing weather and road conditions that drivers expect from the brand, thanks to standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and X-MODE® Dual-Mode with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings. When properly equipped, the Getaway can also tow up to 3,500 pounds, making it well-suited for small campers, utility trailers, and outdoor gear.

Range and Charging

Built around a high-capacity 95.8-kWh lithium-ion battery, the 2027 Subaru Getaway offers a manufacturer-targeted range of more than 300 miles on a full charge. DC fast charging supports speeds up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from approximately 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions.

A standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port provides convenient access to thousands of public charging stations, including the Tesla Supercharger network across North America. Subaru also equips the Getaway with battery preconditioning to help maintain charging performance during colder weather.

Design

The Subaru Getaway blends modern EV styling with the rugged character expected from a Subaru SUV. A distinctive illuminated six-star Subaru emblem, sleek lighting signature, and clean body lines create a contemporary appearance while maintaining excellent aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, most trim levels feature durable ladder-style roof rails for additional cargo-carrying flexibility.

Interior Comfort and Everyday Utility

Inside, the Subaru Getaway offers a spacious cabin designed with families in mind. Depending on trim level, buyers can choose seating for up to seven with a second-row bench seat or seating for six with second-row captain's chairs. One-touch second-row folding seats simplify access to the third row, while the power-folding third row makes it easy to expand the cargo area whenever extra room is needed.

The Getaway provides 15.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and up to 45.6 cubic feet with the third row folded. When your Pittsburgh outings require maximum capacity, you can fold all rear seats to open up a maximum of 80.6 cubic feet. Standard amenities include three-zone climate control, heated front seats, third-row air vents, and more.
